Embed WatchSat on your site

Free live widgets for blogs, classrooms and newsrooms: a satellite tracker, the next rocket launch and the Kp index. Pick one, copy the code, paste it into your page.

Choose and preview

With JavaScript on, this page shows each widget live, lets you pick a size and a satellite, and copies the code for you. The code for the ISS at the medium size looks like this:

<iframe src="https://watchsat.live/embed/25544" width="480" height="270" style="border:0;max-width:100%" loading="lazy" title="ISS (ZARYA) live position on WatchSat"></iframe>
<p style="margin:4px 0 0;font:12px/1.4 sans-serif"><a href="https://watchsat.live/sat/25544?utm_source=embed&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=satellite">Track ISS (ZARYA) live on WatchSat</a></p>

Three widgets

Satellite. The live 3D Earth with one satellite marked and named. Any of the 16,000 active satellites works: use its NORAD id, for example /embed/25544 for the ISS. The whole Earth sits in the frame and the satellite stays in view as it moves.

Next launch. The next orbital rocket launch with a live countdown, its time in the visitor’s own time zone, the launch pad and a webcast link when the provider has published one: /embed/next-launch.

Kp index. The current planetary Kp index with NOAA’s G-scale storm level and the time it was measured: /embed/kp. Both cards come in a dark theme and a light one (add ?theme=light).

Sizes

Small is 300 by 400 pixels, medium is 480 by 270 and large is 600 by 400. Responsive fills the width of its column, up to 640 pixels, at 16:9. Any other size works too: the widgets fit whatever frame you give them.

How to add it

Keep the link

Every widget carries a WatchSat link. It is the only thing we ask for: please leave it visible, and don’t crop the frame or cover it. The code also puts a plain text link under the frame; keeping it is the best way to help people find the live site.

No widget shows ads. The launch and Kp cards add no Google Analytics and no cookies; the satellite globe loads the same page analytics as the rest of WatchSat, as the privacy policy describes. Orbits come from CelesTrak, launches from The Space Devs (CC BY 4.0) and the Kp index from NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center. More on the data is on the credits page.
